Decisions, Decisions

Many of you received my email on Friday about Mike's job possibility so you probably can figure out where this blog entry is going. The VA in KC offered him the job back in November for a very low amount. We turned it down at the time but were warned that they always low ball it and will come back with another offer. It took them about 2 months to come back and the offer is now equal to what he would be making if he was still working full time here, plus a bonus. While that seems nice, the cost of living in KC is higher and houses here aren't selling at all right now. There is one on our street that has been on the market since May. I've not been too keen on moving the whole time because I like having family nearby to help with Samuel, but I also want to be where God wants me.

To complicate things more, there is talk of me being able to pick up some more hours and Mike has been working on starting a business doing professional organizing. He already has several potential clients and is really excited about it. Part of us leans toward KC because it would be full time, steady work but the other side of us knows we can limp by financially and still be near family and friends if we stay here. It is a lot to weigh but we know we don't have to make this decision alone - we have God on our side. We have been on our knees in prayer the past few days and will continue until we are confident we know where He wants us for the time being. We ask that you continue to lift us up in prayer that God will clearly show us where to go. I promise to update once we have an answer. We have to give our answer this Tuesday to the VA so be looking for an update soon.
